csta question

Hi, I have a question regarding monitoring devices.

I can monitor a hunting group (or hunt group) number (I can see that on the PBX, i am using monitoring licence for that number), but I dont get any CSTA messages from that number (monitoring devices works fine - i get all the messages).

My PBX is from Alcatel - there are no messages on the pbx console either, so it is not csta library's fault.

I didn't find anything useful in the documentation. Maybe someone can help me - is it possible to monitor a hunting group on other PBX's?

My experience with monitoring hunt groups on a Siemens in the past was that you couldn't. The MonitorStart can only be used on devices.

I'm not sure if this is the same for Alcatel.

It seems like you need the assistance of mgoegel on these forums - he is an Alcatel expert and has written a CSTA stack for his own uses. Look at this forum post http://opencsta.org/forums/support/20100207/thats-funny to try and private message him.

Could you tell me one more thing. Are there any CSTA messages when you login or logoff from hunt group. There are non on Alcatel.

no messages with hunt group, not with the version of software on my siemens.
i'm not sure if the standard has that type of event
there are quite a few that the siemens does NOT support (i.e. park call)
